Royal Norfolk Show – 26th June 2019

Prodata Weather Systems supports the farms of the future.

Prodata are off to Norfolk Show this week and will be exhibiting on Wednesday and Thursday in the Innovation Hub, kindly organised by Agri-Tech East.

This year, The Innovation Hub is looking towards the future of the smart farm where sensors and monitors provide early warnings of risks associated with adverse weather conditions, environmental monitoring and protection, disease and weeds (IPM), and where prevention and resilience will be key to management strategies.

We are delighted to be showcasing the Davis range of individual weather stations and the larger mesh environmental monitoring system, EnviroMonitor.  The highly flexible, precise and simple to use EnviroMonitor system will appeal to those looking for a comprehensive system which is able to remotely monitor many physical aspects of the environment, both outdoors and in other settings such as greenhouses.  Data readings include temperature, rainfall, soil conditions, water level, flow rate, water pressure to name but a few. Data is passed via a system of nodes to a gateway which in turn passes the data to the cloud via the mobile phone network.

The data can be accessed simply via any smart device, providing farmers with instant data on the go. On receipt of this data, farmers and growers can quickly adjust the next action to suit the actual conditions, whether that is irrigating, spraying or fertilising their crops.  Costs and time can be saved, environmental impact monitored and reduced, yields improved, and ongoing records analysed to help make future decisions.

Today’s climate is fickle and unpredictable, so it makes sense to ensure your actions are guided by the best possible data collected to suit your individual needs.

To find out more, join us at the Innovation Hub and speak to Pete or Jayne about the best system for your needs.
